January 30: Tummy Time

I don't know many babies that like spending a lot of time on their tummies until they're able to crawl. When Luci was a baby, she didn't understand that she needed to keep her arms under her to hold herself up, so she would spread them to the sides like an airplane ready to take off. Sullivan does much better. Last night he even buried his nose in the blanket and pushed his belly of the ground using his toes.

January 29: Time with Daddy

I LOVE Sundays! After going to Mass at 9:30, we typically stop for coffee and come home to make pancakes for breakfast. The rest of the day is usually spent reading the paper, playing, and doing a lot of nothing. We also love that Daddy is home all day.

January 28: Ballerina

Saturday we had dance pictures for Luci. She was in dance for 8 weeks this fall and will start another 8 weeks in March. She absolutely LOVES to dance (and sing for that matter). I think she'd be happy if the only toys she had were dress up clothes and music to dance to.

January 27: We're going to the zoo, zoo, zoo

It is a rare occasion these days that I only have 1 daycare girl here, so when it happens we take full advantage and try to get out of the house. This was my first outing with more than my 2 children and it went well! On Friday we went to the zoo with some friends. Luci said her favorite animals were the penguins and her favorite part was playing in the bee-hive.

January 26: Crafty

I have a run of bad luck when it comes to making things. Just ask Aaron about some do-it-yourself coasters and Luci about her Minnie Mouse blanket. My luck turned around today when I successfully fixed my sewing machine and made a taggie blankie for Sullivan. He already likes to fall asleep while touching something soft, so I thought this might be just the thing he'd like.

January 25: Snow fun

Without much snow this winter, Luci and the kids (the daycare girls) haven't had much to do outside, which leaves them not always looking forward to that part of our day. Thankfully we got some snow and they spent over an hour out there today. They were even able to make a mini snowman.

Project 365: The beginning

I was inspired by a friend (thanks Jess!) to take a picture each day for 1 year. I am notorious for leaving my camera behind, being too impatient to get Luci to smile, and just not knowing the ins and outs of my camera. Therefore, I am making it my goal to capture something special each day.

Day 1: Sullivan is 3 months old!

At 3 months Sullivan is the happiest baby! He will smile at anyone who will look at him. He is working on giggles and his left hand is his favorite chew toy. He will sleep for a good 7 hours in a row each night and usually will take a few good naps each day. I am blessed to have such a beautiful boy!
